Simply terrifying footage has emerged of people rushing for cover after a tornado ripped through a golf course designed by Tiger Woods and his team.
The ‘insane’ tornado swept through midwestern United States on 13 May.
One clip, lasting 19 seconds, shows the twister a few hundred yards from the first tee at Payne’s Valley golf course.
A voice could be heard saying: “Oh, we need to go! It’s heading right for us. Oh my goodness gracious! Yeah, we need to go.”
Another clip, lasting two minutes and 27 seconds, showed golfers rushing for cover and putting buggies away.
Thankfully, there have been no reports of injuries from the area.
It appears the course has also survived unscathed.
Watch the shocking footage here:
Woods and his TGR Design team opened Payne’s Valley in 2020.
It is renowned for having one of the most memorable golf holes in the whole world.
The par-3 19th (yes, 19 holes!) has the hole cut into the mountain on an island greed and is aptly named: “The Rock.”
The par-72 layout plays as long as 7,370 yards from the tips.
Payne’s Valley was the first public-access golf course designed by the 82-time PGA Tour winner.
TGR Design have so far created 11 courses all over the world.
