“It’s a tough golf course to score on” – Jon Rahm ‘surprised’ after failing to make the PGA Championship cut

LIV Golf superstar Jon Rahm missed the halfway cut at the 2024 PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky. With the projected cut line at 1 under par, Rahm failed to make the cut at the Major as he shot rounds of 70 and 72.

Rahm has not missed the cut at any of golf’s Major tournaments since the 2019 PGA Championship at Bethpage Black in New York, before his switch to the Saudi-based LIV Golf League where he plays and captains his team Legion XIII.”Surprised” by his finish, Rahm told LIV Golf:

“Surprised. Surprised because of how I felt like I was hitting it in Australia and Singapore and in the week off before coming here, especially off the tee, hitting great drives – and that’s what’s been my downfall. I just couldn’t find a fairway off the tee. You can make birdies off the fairway, but off the rough, it’s a tough golf course to score on and that’s kind of what happened to me.”
