George Russell insisted that he was not as well disturbed almost wrapping up behind Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton at the Emilia Romagna Terrific Prix. They were constrained to settle for 6th and seventh put at Imola, with Hamilton jumping Russell towards the conclusion of the challenge.

Russell went through the complete race ahead of Hamilton until he was called in for an additional pit halt with 14 laps remaining to fit a unused set of medium tires. It permitted him to grab an additional point for setting the speediest lap of the race, but it too implied that he wrapped up a put behind Hamilton in spite of being quicker than him all end of the week.

Talking after the chequered hail, Russell clarified that he was not as disillusioned around losing 6th put as he would have been in the event that he was battling for the race win.

“You’re never aiming to be upbeat with 6th and seventh,” he said. “At the conclusion of the day, as a group, we scored one additional point. I misplaced my position to Lewis, but I’m not getting to sulk over losing 6th, to be legitimate. This can be where we are right presently, a small bit in no-man’s arrive behind the Ferraris and McLarens and ahead of the midfield.”
