Report: Tiger Woods’ 15-Year-Old Son hits on His Swing Consultant appointment few days before the U.S. Open

Tiger Woods has quite the support system as he competes in his first U.S. Open in four years. The 48-year-old 15-time major winner has hired his 15-year-old son, Charlie, as his swing consultant for this week’s competition at Pinehurst Country Club, which the golf veteran intends to enjoy. “Having Charlie out here is very special,” Tiger told reporters on Tuesday, June 11. “To continue the father-son relationship that we have into this stage of our lives. He plays a lot of junior golf, and I still play out here.” Charlie is already following in his father’s footsteps, having just helped the Benjamin School’s boys’ team win the Florida state championship as a 14-year-old freshman in November 2023.

In a classic dad moment, Tiger added, “It’s neat for him to see the guys that he watches on TV and YouTube and TikTok or whatever the hell it is that they do.”

Tiger added that Charlie spent some quality time with PGA Tour golfer Min Woo Lee, 25, during the U.S. Open practice rounds. He joked about their friendship, saying, “They’re closer in age than I am to anybody else.”

Charlie’s father intends to assign him a task on the course. “I trust him with my swing and game,” Tiger admitted. “He has seen it more than anyone else in the world.” He has watched me hit more golf balls than anyone else. I advise him what he should look for, especially when installing. Tiger believes Charlie will be especially useful on the greens as he tries to keep his old man out of his brain.

“I get so fixated on hitting certain putts to specific pins,” Tiger stated. “I have a tendency to forget some of the projects I’m working on. I just want to watch the balls move, and he reminds me every now and then, which is fantastic.” Tiger Woods’ Relationship History: Marriage, Mistresses, and More Ultimately, Tiger stated that the unique situation allows him to strengthen his friendship with Charlie, even under pressure.

“We have a great relationship and a great rapport like that,” Tiger exclaimed. “It’s a wonderful experience for both of us.” Tiger shares Charlie with his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren. The couple’s divorce was finalized in 2010, and they have a 16-year-old daughter named Sam. The 124th U.S. Open began Thursday, June 13, in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
