“He’ll quit the game”, Fans react to a ‘frustrated’ Charlie Woods slamming his club at the US Junior Amateur Championship
Fans on social media reacted to Charlie Woods slamming his club after a bad shot at the 2024 US Junior Amateur. The young golfer made his debut at the USGA tournament but did not have the start he expected.
The 15-year-old did not seem to be able to control his anger on the golf course. He was visibly disappointed with his game and after hitting a shot, Woods hit his driver on the ground in frustration. A clip of the incident went viral on the internet. Here is a post of it on X.
“He’ll quit the game,” they wrote.
Another fan commented on the same clip posted by Pete Pappas:
“That swing was, somethin…”
Others came to his support, saying that he is young and should improve as he grows older:
“He is frustrated because he believes he let the large gallery down. He’s young and he’ll learn how to play for himself. No one knows the pressure he has to endure. I’m pulling for him.”

“Obviously not jumping for joy on that tee shot. Hopefully he learns from this experience,” another wrote.
