Rory McIlroy endured another frustrating weekend as he finished just outside the top 10 at the BMW Championship.
He carded a one under-par round of 71 to finish at six under-par for the tournament, tied 11th and six shots behind winner Keegan Bradley at Castle Pines.
The 2025 US Ryder Cup captain held off the challenge of Adam Scott to win his second BMW Championship title and his seventh PGA Tour title.

“Oh, man, it just shows why you’ve got to grind it out every week because you never know how fast it can switch,” said Bradley.
“Now I go to Atlanta with a chance to win the FedEx Cup. I can’t believe it. I’m so excited.”
Bradley pocketed $3.6 million for winning the BMW Championship while McIlroy won $500,000.
However, McIlroy’s underwhelming finish means he has slipped outside of the top five in the Fed-Ex Cup rankings ahead of the season-ending Tour Championship at East Lake this week.

The staggered format of the Tour Championship means that world number one Scheffler starts the tournament at -10, with McIlroy starting at -4.
Shane Lowry finished in a tie for 13th last weekend, earning the Offaly native $344,111 and he’ll start the Tour Championship one stroke behind McIlroy and seven behind Scheffler at -3.
