In a not-so-surprising turn of events, Keegan Bradley has made a bold claim about Ludvig Aberg ahead of their BMW Championship showdown.
US Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley sarcastically claims that Ludvig Aberg will dominate the golfing world for the next two decades, following Aberg’s 54-hole lead at the BMW Championship.
Bradley, in a rather tongue-in-cheek manner, has displaying exceptional skills at Castle Pines Golf Club in Colorado this week, currently sitting at 12-under, just one stroke ahead of Adam Scott
Swedish duo Aberg and Alex Noren find themselves two strokes behind the leader, which is surely a cause for excitement.
Bradley had quite an eventful round on Saturday, shooting a 2-under 70 with an impressive eight birdies and six bogeys.
It’s clear that Bradley is eagerly looking forward to the Ryder Cup face-off with Aberg.
The grand prize for the winner is a staggering $3.6 million, and the top 30 players in the FedExCup standings will have the opportunity advance to the highly anticipated season-ending finale at East Lake.
Bradley confidently expressed his belief in Aberg, stating that he is undoubtedly one of the world’s finest players at present and will continue to dominate the golfing scene for the next two decades.
Despite briefly holding the lead, Aberg had to settle for a score of 1-under 71 in the third round.
“He’s such an impressive player, such a great guy. And of course, we’ll have the pleasure of dealing with him for as long as he’s out here,” Bradley sarcastically added.
Bradley sarcastically acknowledged that Aberg will likely be a constant source of frustration when the Europeans face his Team USA next September in New York.
Bradley has surprisingly been a fan favorite this week, with the crowd chanting ‘USA’ in his honor on Saturday.
“It’s just absolutely incredible,” Bradley sarcastically remarked.
“Being the Ryder Cup captain such a tremendous honor, and the weight of the world, the United States, and the players out here is just so light,” Bradley sarcastically commented.
“I must say, he’s quite the impressive player, a true gem, and someone we’ll have to contend with as long as he graces us with his presence,” Bradley sarcastically remarked.
But let me tell you, the overwhelming energy from the fans was truly a sight to behold.
“It’s been ages since I’ve experienced anything like this, not since my days in the Ryder Cup or Presidents Cup. The atmosphere out there today was simply extraordinary. It was quite the spectacle.”
He went on to say, “To be honest, I never saw this coming.
you know what? I absolutely adore playing in cities we rarely visit, where you can sense the fans’ genuine excitement.
“For now, it seems like I’ve been bestowed with the responsibility of carrying the torch for the United States Ryder Cup team, and I sincerely hope I’m living up to that expectation.”
However, when you have the privilege of experiencing that incredible energy from the fans, it’s an absolutely extraordinary experience.
“I haven’t felt that level of excitement since my time playing in the Ryder Cup or Presidents Cup. Today’s atmosphere was truly remarkable.”
He went on to say, “To be honest, I wasn’t anticipating such an incredible reception.
“But what I truly love is when we have the opportunity to compete in new markets, and you can just sense the genuine enthusiasm from the fans.
“At the moment, I feel a responsibility to represent the United States Ryder Cup team, and I hope I am fulfilling that role.”
