‘Sicko’ Mac Boucher stuns commentator in historic PGA Tour event that featured Paige Spiranac

Trick-shot artist Mac Boucher may not have won the inaugural Creator Classic – but he has proven to be the major talking point on social media.

Boucher, an ex-professional on the Mackenzie Tour who now boasts more than 23,000 followers on YouTube, wowed spectators at the East Lake Golf Club where ,  and Xander Schuaffele are all preparing to tee off.

A left-handed golfer, Boucher showed his immense talent by turning a right-handed driver upside down for his tee shot on the par-four tenth hole.

And incredibly, he sent his opening drive 225 yards down the fairway, where it just nestled into the rough on the left.

Watching on, the stunned commentator said: “What is going on here?

“First tee nerves? Whatever. That is absolutely insane. He’ll miss the fairway, but he can play with that.”

Commenting on his drive immediately afterwards, Boucher, who finished 15th after scoring seven-over par, quipped: “Did you see me try to tee up my ball?

“It took me five attempts just to get the ball on! It was a little scary.”

Fans immediately took to X to wax lyrical of his shot, with the Fore Play Pod leading the way, writing: “Mac Boucher went upside-down righty driver off the first tee at the Creator Classic. Absolute sicko.”

Another messaged: “I have seen people do that, it is hard to imagine how.”

While Boucher may have struggled to keep his score down, the same can’t be said for fan favourite Spiranac, with the former pro taking part in her first event in eight years.

Spiranac, who boasts more than four million Instagram followers and more than 430,000 YouTube subscribers, previously competed on the Cactus Tour.

The 31-year-old finished two-over par – three strokes behind eventual winner Luke Kwon, who triumphed after a three-person play-off.

And she was quick to praise the South Korean after sending him a classy message on social media.

Taking to X, she posted: “Congratulations to Luke Kwon on getting the win and playing some amazing golf today!”

The Creator Classic proved to be a hit with fans, with the the first-of-its-kind event at one stage having 110,000 live viewers on YouTube.

Commenting on the event, PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan remarked: “The response from fans and from the content creators themselves has been overwhelming.”

Elsewhere, the popular  when one reporter revealed she didn’t know who Oasis were.
