Tiger Woods’ plans if he wins 16th golf major as legal teams get involved

Tiger Woods has his sights set on achieving another major milestone in his illustrious golf career. As he nears the possibility of securing his 16th major championship, plans are already in motion regarding a significant transformation at his clothing company, Sun Day Red. The latest development revolves around the company’s logo, which will undergo a redesign to commemorate Woods’ potential new title.

At 48 years old, Woods has faced challenges with form and playing time over recent years. However, despite these difficulties, he remains optimistic about adding another major victory to his impressive collection. His most recent major win came at the Masters five years ago, a remarkable feat where he narrowly clinched victory by a single stroke. This triumph was a testament to his enduring skill and determination, and he is now hopeful of recapturing that winning form to secure his 16th major championship.

Sun Day Red, Woods’ clothing line, is preparing for a notable change if he achieves this milestone. Currently, the brand’s logo features a tiger with 15 stripes, each stripe symbolizing one of Woods’ major victories. However, the company is considering a more substantial redesign rather than simply adding an additional stripe to the existing logo. Caje Moye, the creative director for Sun Day Red, has revealed that the company’s legal teams have recommended a complete logo overhaul to better reflect this significant achievement.

Moye shared insights with Golf Magic about the discussions surrounding the logo update. “We’ve already had that discussion,” Moye said. “We’ve got some things that we’ve already created. Without wanting to give too much away, it would probably be a brand-new logo. Our legal teams advised us to avoid merely adding a stripe, as that could complicate things. Instead, we are prepared to unveil a completely new design.”

In addition to the potential logo redesign, Sun Day Red has recently launched a new collection of polo shirts tailored to Woods’ exact specifications. These new garments are designed with Woods’ input and feedback, ensuring they meet his high standards. Moye has praised Woods for his involvement in the design process, noting that his feedback is invaluable.

“He loves products, he provides feedback which he has a ton of, and his insights are second to none,” Moye remarked. “He embraces the idea of continually improving. That’s always been his mantra. He pushes us to explore new and innovative ways while keeping things simple when necessary. Sometimes, simplicity is more effective.”

Woods’ role in the design process is significant, as he serves as the ultimate product tester in high-pressure scenarios. His active participation in testing and evaluating the products ensures they perform exceptionally well under the most challenging conditions. Moye emphasized that Woods’ involvement is crucial, as his feedback helps refine and perfect the products before they reach the market.

Overall, the prospect of Woods winning his 16th major championship is not only a significant personal achievement but also a momentous occasion for Sun Day Red. The anticipated redesign of the brand’s logo and the continued development of their product line reflect the company’s commitment to excellence and innovation, inspired by Woods’ legendary career and contributions.
