Rob Cross makes ominous Luke Littler statement ahead of World Grand Prix Darts
Rob Cross and Luke Littler are set to do battle at the Mattioli Arena in Leicester as the World Grand Prix begins, and the former has been rather complimentary about his opponent
The two darting superstars will go head-to-head on Monday night
Voltage played a key role in Littler’s ascent to stardom with a gallant but unsuccessful 6-2 performance against the then-16 year old in their World Championship semi-final earlier this year. Cross himself experienced a similarly meteoric rise during his own Alexandra Palace debut in 2018 – clinching the Sid Waddell Trophy by defeating Phil Taylor in the The Power’s PDC swansong.
Now, Littler and Cross are set to clash again, having already faced off in the Premier League, Euro Tour and World Series this season. Cross – who has only triumphed over the teenager once – seized the chance to not only commend his young adversary but also issue a challenge.
“Nothing worries Luke at all. He eats pressure for breakfast,” Cross conceded. “The boy has been amazing for the game. He’s a really good lad and we’ve practiced a lot this year in the Premier League.”
