Simone Biles’ husband Jonathan Owens, an NFL player for the Chicago Bears, recently spoke about his time in Paris during the 2024 Summer Games. The gymnast concluded her campaign with four medals — three golds and a silver.
The 27-year-old won her first Olympic gold in Paris in the team all-around event. She and her team, including Jordan Chiles, Hezly Rivera, Jade Carey, and Suni Lee, registered 171.296 points, defeating Italy and Brazil, who secured second and third places, respectively.The gymnast won her second gold in the individual all-around event, scoring 59.131 points and trouncing Rebeca Andrade and Lee. The third gold won by Biles was in the vault event, where she scored 15.300 points. The American gymnast won a silver medal in the women’s floor where she posted a score of 14.133 points.
Owens was in Paris during Biles’ dominant performance at the Olympics. In a recent interview with Sky Sports, he revealed that he received VIP treatment because of Simone Biles, and he explored the art and culture of the city.
“Paris was amazing,” Owens said. “That was my actually my second time to Europe. But I was actually able to have a chance to just be in the culture, explore the city. It was amazing seeing everything and obviously getting a chance to watch the Olympics was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
He added:
“And you know, my wife was the star of the show. I just felt like I was spoiled, I got VIP treatment around there and really got the chance to see the city, experience the art, the culture, the history of Paris. It was amazing.”

During an interview with the TODAY show in February 2022, Jonathan Owens opened up about how he convinced Simone Biles’ parents, Ronald and Nellie Biles, for their engagement. The player said he was a “little nervous” at first and that he couldn’t say anything until the gymnast sat beside him.

“Definitely, definitely, talked to him. I was a little nervous at first. For the longest, Simone was sitting right next to us. So, I couldn’t really say what I wanted and then she left,” Owens said.
He added:
“So, it was a lot of planning. It probably took about two and a half months. I kind of started talking to the jeweler in early December.”
Owens continued:
“Just getting everything situated and my cousin, he helped a lot, just doing stuff for me when I’m busy, called the restaurant and set everything up, got the photographer set up for me, but she really had no clue. She just thought it was a normal day.”
Simone Biles is currently on the Gold Over America Tour. She performed in Orlando on October 12. She will next be seen in Duluth on October 13..
