The 2024 World Darts Championship draw has set up an exciting tournament at Alexandra Palace. Fallon Sherrock will face Ryan Meikle in the opening round, with the winner advancing to take on fourth seed Luke Littler in the second round.
Reigning champion Luke Humphries, who defeated Littler 7-4 in last year’s final, begins his title defense against either Thibault Tricole or Joe Comito. As the world No. 1, Humphries enters the competition in fine form, having successfully defended his Players Championship Finals title, won the Betfred World Matchplay, and reached three major finals this year.
Littler, meanwhile, has had a breakthrough debut season, capturing titles in the Premier League and the Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts, solidifying his place as a rising star. With both Humphries and Littler in the same half of the draw, they could meet in an anticipated semi-final clash.
The event features 96 players vying for the prestigious Sid Waddell Trophy and a £500,000 prize. The top 32 players from the PDC Order of Merit will enter in the second round, while the first round includes ProTour qualifiers facing international qualifiers.
The tournament runs from December 15 to January 3, with every session broadcast live on Sky Sports, promising fans an unmissable spectacle of darts.
