Simone Biles made her highly anticipated return to the Olympics on Saturday as the seven-time Olympic medallist completed a near perfect showing despite an injury scare.
The 27-year-old is one of the most high profile athletes at the Games in Paris this summer and her stellar routine brought some of hollywood’s biggest star out to watch her.
Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Tom Cruise, Nick Jonas and Snoop Dogg were all in attendance in the crowd to watch the American gymnast.
The four-time Olympic gold medallist wasn’t fazed by the star-studded crowd and produced a total all-around score of 59.566 in the women’s qualification round.
However one notable absentee on Sunday was her Chicago Bears safety husband Jonathan Owens, who has yet to make an appearance in Paris but that is soon set to change.

Owen recently revealed that he would be making the journey to Paris to support his wife in the 2024 Olympics, revealing that before he signed his contract with the Chicago Bears, he had his agent work in a term that allowed him to take time-off to fly to Paris to see his wife.
Speaking to the Associated Press Owens said ‘It was something me and my agent talked about when we went in and I signed with the team,’
‘The Olympics coming up and who my wife is, that was just something … it was all respectful. We went to them and just asked, ‘We would really appreciate it if he could go and support his wife,’ and they were really cool about it.
‘First-class organization. I just want to thank them so much for allowing me to go over and do that. I can’t wait to be able to support her, and I know my family and my wife, she really appreciates it.’
This will be the first time Owen will witness Biles compete in person at the Games, with the 29-year-old expected to fly out of the US on Monday, July 29 to make it in time for the women’s team final which begins on Tuesday, July 30, with the individual events to unfold in the coming days.

Who is Simone Biles husband?
Simone Biles is married to Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens. Owens was born and grew up in Missouri, spending the majority of his early life in St Louis.
He played high school football at the Christian Brothers College High School before he went on to play football at College level at Missouri Western State University.
His NFL career began back in 2018 when he was signed by the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent.
On March, 13, 2024, the 29-year-old signed a two year contract with the Chicago Bears.

The American football player admitted to Texas Monthly that he didn’t know who she was when they first matched on Raya and that he was clueless to the stature of fame she had.
‘I didn’t know who she was,’ he said
Before adding ‘I just hadn’t heard of her, and when I told her that, that’s one of the things she liked.’
